When 6 French citizens and a Spaniard were trapped in the Turkish province of Muğla due to travel restrictions because of the coronavirus, Alper Kaya, a Turkish musician from the area, opened the doors of their house to them upon learning of their situation. “The world is in chaos and we need solidarity,” stresses Kaya. They have been living together at the house for more than two weeks, where they play music or practice yoga and take the opportunity to learn more about the culture of the three countries, thus turning this experience into something positive. “I know the hospitality of the Turks, they are very friendly,” says Jon, the only Spaniard.
