Tragedy struck Turkey‘s roads again on Sunday after at least 12 people were killed in two serious traffic accidents in the past few hours, leaving dozens injured. The most serious of the accidents occurred in the eastern province of Sivas, when a bus carrying a group of passengers between Istanbul and Van overturned on a highway near the town of Yazyurdu, leaving 7 people dead and 34 injured.
The other fatal traffic accident occurred in the Şarkikaraağaç district of Isparta province, in western Turkey, when a car and a pick up truck collided violently in the middle of the night, for reasons still under investigation. The tragedy claimed the lives of five people, including the death of a child, and injured several others. Among the victims are Azerbaijani nationals, according to Turkish media reports.
