Third attempt for a truce between Armenia and Azerbaijan fails

The third attempt to achieve a truce in the open war in the Caucasus between Armenia and Azerbaijan failed in the early hours of Monday, after the United States announced on Sunday that there was an agreement on a “humanitarian ceasefire.” Both sides accuse echa other of having violated the last truce in less than an hour. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has accused the countries calling for a truce of continuing to send weapons to the Armenians, and again demanded the withdrawal of Armenia from the occupied territories in Azerbaijan.
