Search continues for the fourth day for 11 crew members missing at sea off the coast of Zonguldak, in Turkey’s Black Sea region, following the sinking of a cargo ship that collided with a breakwater during a storm in the region on 19 November.
Turkish Coast Guard and Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) personnel have been mobilised by sea and air to locate the missing sailors. The ship, named “Kafkametler” and sailing under Turkish flag, was sailing from Russia to the Turkish city of Izmir. The lifeless body of one of the 12 missing crew members was recovered from the sea on 20 November.
