2.2 million tourists have flown over the Turkish region of Cappadocia in the last 5 years aboard a balloon, which has become a symbol of this region of Turkey famous for its fairy chimneys, its churches excavated in the rock and its underground cities. In total, in the last five years 13 million tourists have travelled to Cappadocia, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985.
