Turkey, Cappadocia empty due to coronavirus

Stunning images of Cappadocia … empty of tourists

The historic Cappadocia region, one of the main destinations for tourism in Turkey and which broke all tourist records in 2019, appears these days as a ghost place, completely empty, after the measures taken by the government to combat the coronavirus pandemic has forced to suspend balloon flights until April 30th and to close places like Göreme or Derinkuyu. Foreign tourists who were planning to visit the region in April, May and June have cancelled their reservations.
