The Grand Bazaar of Istanbul, one of the main tourism icons in this Turkish city, is preparing for its reopening on Monday, June 1 after more than two months closed to the public due to the coronavirus pandemic. Several cleaning teams strive to disinfect all facilities, which, with 3,000 stores, is one of the largest covered markets in the world. With the exception of when it suffered disasters such as earthquakes or fires, it has been the largest closure of the Grand Bazaar in its 550-year history.
