Istanbul, light show in Maiden's Tower

Light show in Istanbul to reopen the Maiden’s Tower

The famous Maiden’s Tower (Kız Kulesi, in Turkish), icon of the Turkish city of Istanbul, reopened its doors to the public on May 11 after 2 years of restoration with a light show and laser projections that was seen by many Istanbulites from the shore of the Üsküdar district. The emblematic tower, built 900 years ago by the Byzantines and which after its restoration has recovered its appearance of the beginning of the 19th century under the reign of the Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II, is now a museum and can be visited for free until the end of May.
