Coinciding with the commemoration on November 10 of the anniversary of Atatürk‘s death, his mausoleum in Ankara (Anıtkabir) remained unusually open to the public until 9 p.m., leaving impressive images of thousands of Turks coming at night to visit the tomb of the founder of the Turkish Republic to pay their respects.
