Hungary’s foreign minister Peter Szijjarto criticized Sweden’s stupidity for allowing a provocateur like Paludan, under the pretext of “freedom of speech”, to burn a Koran in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm, thus becoming an enemy of Turkey. “As a Christian and a Catholic, burning a holy book of another religion is unacceptable,” Szijjarto said during the visit of his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. Hungary and Turkey are the only two NATO members that have not yet ratified the accession of Finland and Sweden.
