Cameras record live images of the 6-degree earthquake that hit the island of Crete in southern Greece yesterday, damaging hundreds of houses and killing one person when a church collapsed. Hundreds of people have had to be rehoused in tents because their homes have been damaged or it is not safe to return to them, while the earth does not stop shaking: dozens of aftershocks have been registered, some of up to 5.3 degrees. Crete already suffered a similar earthquake in May 2020, although on that occasion there were no victims to mourn.
