Fenerbahçe won in Istanbul with a resounding 4-0 victory over Konyaspor in the return of the league 3 weeks after the devastating earthquake in Turkey: a game full of emotion and anger with emotional tributes to the victims, but also with chants of “government resign” from the stands of the Şükrü Saraçoğlu stadium. Two goals from Enner Valencia in the first half (the first of which was a penalty in the 13th minute), and a goal -quite absurd- from Joshua King and another from Attila Szalai in the second half, sealed a game where the Konya team played almost the entire match with 10 players after the expulsion at minute 21 of Mame Diouf, who saw a second yellow card for an elbow to the Brazilian Willian Arão’s face. The victory keeps Fener second, 6 points behind leader Galatasaray.
