A tense movie-like police chase occurred in Istanbul when police identified the license plate of a luxury car carrying two suspects of several robberies and an attempted murder. The persecution began in the central Fatih neighbourhood and continued on the D-100 highway, where the fugitives wanted to escape in the direction of Edirne. After ignoring the warnings to stop by police, one of the suspects got out of the vehicle and tried to flee: then police fired into the air, while another officer pointed his gun at the other fugitive, who was still trying to flee in the car.
