Turkish police is struggling these days to identify and convince the elderly to return home, after the Turkish government decreed on Saturday that seniors over 65 and the chronically ill are banned from going out, as they are the group most vulnerable to coronavirus, despite which many continue to ignore the ban. Turkey announced on Monday that it will hire 32,000 healthcare professionals, start manufacturing its own ventilators, and purchase more than a million rapid tests for COVID-19, which has already caused 1,529 infected and 37 deaths in the country.
