Tragic day in Turkey: at least 20 people were killed and 26 others injured, 8 of them seriously, when a truck with no brakes lost control and rammed at full speed into a crowd that had gathered after several vehicles had collided moments before in Mardin, at Southeastern Turkey. In another very similar serious accident that also occurred yesterday in the same region, another 16 people were killed in Gaziantep when a bus collided with several vehicles, including a fire truck and an ambulance that had responded after a previous accident; among the deceased there are three firefighters, two emergency personnel and two journalists who was covering the news of the first accident.
