After 6 years of restoration work, 3 sections of the Harem of Istanbul’s historic Topkapı Palace have been reopened to the public and can now be visited by tourists. The reopened sections, which can be visited every day of the week except Tuesday, are the Valide Taşlığı (Courtyard of the Mother of the Sultan), the Ocaklı Sofa (Room with Fireplace) and the Çeşmeli Sofa (Room with Fountain), the latter open to visitors for the first time.
