Turkey’s health minister confirmed on Saturday that a man who had travelled to Saudi Arabia for the Umrah pilgrimage has tested positive for coronavirus, being the first case not related to “patient zero” detected on March 10th. The Turkish government has enabled thousands of rooms in the cities of Ankara and Konya so that the pilgrims who return to the country are subject to quarantine, and has recalled the importance of undergoing 14 days of isolation if they have travelled abroad to curb contagions by COVID-19.
