At least 4 people were killed and 100 wounded after a tremendous explosion that devastated a fireworks factory in Sakarya province, about 100 km east of Istanbul, on Friday. The detonation was such that it caused a mushroom cloud and panic 50 km away in the capital. The tragedy could have been even greater since at the time of the explosion there were about 200 people working in the factory, which had 110 tons of fireworks. It is the 4th similar accident suffered by this plant since 2009.
