Ankara‘s emergency services received more than 1,500 distress calls for the severe floods following heavy rains that hit the Turkish capital late Thursday, causing 3 deaths and damage to more than 250 businesses and homes. In some areas of the city, more than 30 centimetres of rain per square meter were recorded, and numerous drivers were trapped in their cars.
