Winter is coming back to Istanbul, and the cold wave announced by meteorologists has already left the first snowfalls in high areas on the outskirts of the city. This however is only a preview: from tomorrow and throughout the week, temperatures are expected to drop below zero degrees and snow to reach up to 20 centimetres thick, especially in the Asian part of Istanbul. Airlines such as Turkish Airlines have already cancelled more than 200 flights for tomorrow in anticipation of heavy snowfall.
