Despite the efforts of firefighting teams, a major wildfire in southern Turkey‘s Hatay province spiralled out of control and eventually spread to several residential areas in Belen and İskenderun districts, forcing to evacuate hundreds of people from the area. More than 300 members of fire brigades supported by two seaplanes, two helicopters and dozens of vehicles fought against the flames, which caused no injuries but burned three cars.
