Emre Tümsek, a 43-year-old Turkish businessman living in Germany, was videotaped by a witness as two policemen threw him to the ground, handcuffed him and pressed his neck and back with their knees in front of his shop in the German city of Duisburg, in the Rhineland region. According to Tümsek, the policemen attacked him when he left his shop alerted by a noise; in the video several witnesses can be heard reproaching the policemen for their attitude and repeating that the man had not done anything. Tümsek denounces that the mistreatment continued in the police vehicle, and that when he arrived at the police station, he was locked up in a cell for 4 hours. “This has affected me and my family psychologically a lot. I will file a criminal complaint against those responsible,” he told reporters.
