Migrants try to cross the Aegean between Turkey and Greece

Turkey will stop refugees crossing to Greece through Aegean Sea

Turkish authorities have announced that although they will continue to give freedom to refugees and migrants who want to cross their land border to go to Europe, but they will stop departures to Greece through the Aegean route for security reasons; especially after verifying that the Greek coastguards shoot at the boats and try to sink them, as seen in this video, or disable their engines so that they become stranded in the sea. On Friday alone, 97 refugees were rescued before drowning by Turkish coastguards, after three inflatable boats were punctured by Greek patrols.
