Turkey successfully tests its HISAR O+ missile defence system

Turkish Defence Ministry announced yesterday that successfully tested the new missile defence system HISAR O+, developed by the Turkish companies Aselsan and Roketsan, and which aims to be a substitute for systems such as the Patriot or the Russian S-400. The Hisar O+ is capable of intercepting up to 9 different air targets (including fighters, missiles or drones) at a range of 360º and at a distance of 25 km. The Turkish long-range defence system SIPER is currently under development, and is expected to be completed in 2023.
