Turkey yesterday successfully conducted a test launch of its national Tayfun ballistic missile, which was fired from a mobile platform at 6:50 a.m. from the shores of Rize province, in the direction of the Black Sea. Developed by Roketsan, the missile travelled 561 km before falling into the sea off the coast of Sinop, thus proving to have twice the range of another short-range missile developed in 2018 by the Turkish defense corporation Roketsan, the Bora.
