Turkish government condemned on Tuesday the heavy bombardments of the Israeli army on the Gaza Strip, which killed three Islamic Jihad leaders but also killed 10 Palestinian civilians – including women and children – and injured 20 others in this densely populated Palestinian territory. “Such despicable acts are absolutely unacceptable,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated in a statement. “We hope that these attacks will end immediately, without further loss of life and without causing a new spiral of conflict in the region,” added the message issued from Ankara.
