“The Line” is a futuristic city of linear design and 170 km long, only 200 meters wide and 500 meters high (similar to the old Twin Towers in New York), whose construction has been announced by the regent of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohamed Bin Salman. Presented as the most sustainable city on the planet with 0 carbon emissions, it will be divided vertically into several levels and will not have streets or cars, but will use an ultra-fast hyperloop transport system that will allow you to travel from one end to the other in just 20 minutes. Envisioned to house 9 million people by 2030, The Line will have two mirror-covered exterior walls rising above the desert. First announced in 2017, many experts have however questioned its viability, with its critics calling it a haven for wealthy people.
