These spectacular images of the New Mosque (Yeni Cami, in Turkish) in Istanbul, located in the Eminönü neighborhood next to the Spice Bazaar, have been recorded with a drone and show all the beauty of this temple, recently reopened after a restoration which has lasted 7 years. Completed after many vicissitudes in 1665 by Turhan Hatice, mother of Sultan Mehmet IV, it is one of the best examples of Ottoman architecture; inside it is decorated – just like the famous Blue Mosque – with İznik tiles, although in this case not only blue but also white and green.
