In a report for the Turkish news agency Anatolia, crew members of the Spanish planes sent to Turkey tell of their experience fighting the wave of wildfires that has devastated the south of the country. “This is the first time we have faced wildfires of this magnitude,” they say. Currently only one (in Muğla province) of the 275 fires that have broken out in Turkey in the last two weeks remains active.
