The decrease in rainfall and drought caused by global warming is beginning to be felt in Turkey, where experts warn of a worrying decline in water reserves in many cities. Even in normally humid regions like the Black Sea, rainfall has been cut in half; and in cities like İzmir, the third most populous in the country, some reservoirs are at 36%, less than half that a year ago, and water supply is in danger.
