SpaceX launches new Turkish satellite Türksat 5B into space

Aerospace company SpaceX launched the new Turkish telecommunications satellite, the Türksat 5B, into space on Sunday. It is the most powerful Turkish satellite in orbit to date, capable of boost 15 times satellite communications, and transmitting data at more than 55 gigabits per second. With an estimated service life of 35 years, it will serve Turkey, the Middle East, Africa and almost the entire Mediterranean region. In Turkey, the new 5B version will serve to extend the Internet services already offered by Türksat satellites in orbit to the population and schools in rural areas.
