Turkey, snowfall in Ankara

Snow comes to the Turkish capital

Snow has arrived in the Turkish capital, which saw a light snowfall since the early hours of the morning, especially in the higher areas of Ankara, after snow had already been falling intermittently over the city late yesterday.

Rooftops and roads in Ankara’s higher districts were covered in white today, making a beautiful scene but causing problems for road traffic, forcing municipal crews to work through the night salting the asphalt. The weather forecast predicts that precipitation in the form of snow in the Turkish capital will continue until at least tomorrow, accompanied by freezing temperatures overnight.
