As part of new measures announced by the Turkish government to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, operators with special equipment have started to regularly disinfect the facilities of the Sabiha Gökçen airport in Istanbul, especially the areas with the highest passenger traffic such as security controls, baggage claim area, information points or boarding areas. In addition, sanitiser gel dispensers have been installed, and staff wear masks and gloves.
