Israeli authorities on Wednesday destroyed a memorial plaque with the Turkish flag placed in 2010 in a historic Muslim cemetery in East Jerusalem, to remember its restoration funded by the Turkish cooperation agency TİKA. Turkey has strongly protested this action, which it regards as an illegal act of racism towards its flag.
