Several witnesses were able to record an impressive tornado that formed off the coast of the Kurucaşile district in the province of Bartın, in Turkey’s Black Sea region. The tornado formed in the sea about 100 metres from the coast, causing fear among the population, who observed the phenomenon and was able to record it with their mobile phones; according to the information provided by the witnesses, the tornado continued to move parallel to the coast in an easterly direction towards the nearby municipality of Cide, remaining active for about 30 minutes until it disappeared.
