With the historic building empty of tourists and closed by the coronavirus pandemic, for the first time a team of experts in music and acoustics has recorded in high quality with 8 cameras and recorders the impressive acoustics inside the Hagia Sophia museum, built in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. To carry out the experiment, led by singer and music expert Emre Yücelen, the team recorded an imam and a muezzin reciting the call to prayer and passages from the Koran from various locations inside Hagia Sophia.
