Turkey, destruction by the earthquake in Kahramanmaraş

Destruction in Kahramanmaraş, epicenter of the earthquake in Turkey

Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the 7.8 and 7.6 earthquakes that devastated southeastern Turkey on February 6, and which have so far caused 17,674 deaths and 72,879 injured, has been one of the provinces where the greatest destruction has been caused by the quakes. As some 120,000 rescue team members battle against time and cold to rescue as many survivors as possible alive, this video shows the enormous extent of damage from the worst earthquake to hit this region of Turkey in recent 500 years.
