Hundreds of thousands of people crowded Turkey’s beaches without keeping social distance during the 4-day holiday over the Feast of Sacrifice, despite warnings from authorities about the risk of a spike in coronavirus infections. On beaches like Konyaaltı in Antalya, there was not a free place while vacationers ignored the distance and did not wear a mask due to high temperatures. The Turkish Health Minister has once again warned that the virus has not lost strength in summer, and that it is in fact manifesting with new symptoms.
