At least 8 passengers were killed and 35 others injured after a bus skidded off the run and overturned this morning in Turkey‘s western Afyonkarahisar province. The bus ran the route between the southeastern city of Diyarbakır and Bodrum, a tourist destination on the Aegean coast. “I was half asleep and suddenly I saw the bus fly off the road,” says one of the passengers, who claims that the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
