7 members of Turkey’s security forces, including two pilots, died on Wednesday night when a reconnaissance plane crashed on Mount Artos (2,200 m.) in Van province, in the east of the country. The Interior Minister visited the disaster area and confirmed that the pilots of the plane, which was only 5 years old, had last contacted at 22:32, and that at 22:45 the plane disappeared from the radar.
