At least 4 people have died, including a gendarme, and another 11 remain missing after the severe floods that have devastated the Turkish Black Sea coast, and that have ruined the town of Dereli, in the province of Giresun. About 150 people have been rescued after rain left 135 litres per square meter, turning streets into rivers and dragging vehicles and houses.
