Herds of wild boars, some of considerable size, have been seen roaming the streets of the Turkish city of Marmaris, even in broad daylight, rising concern among residents of the city, a major tourist destination in Turkey. “They used to come from time to time, but now they flock to find food. We are very scared,” says a Marmaris resident. Experts warn that if measures are not taken, the arrival of wild boars from nearby forests will increase because their population is growing, and could cause accidents or injure someone.
