Umut Bulut makes history in the Turkish league

At 37 years old, Umut Bulut, current Yeni Malatyaspor player in the first league, has made history in the Turkish league by breaking the record for the highest number of games played by a footballer in the Turkish Super League: 504. Bulut equalled in 15 February the previous record of 503 matches set by Fenerbahçe‘s legend Oğuz Çetin. Throughout his professional career, which began in 2000, Bulut has played for Trabzonspor, Galatasaray and the Turkish national team; he has scored 163 goals in the first division (where he has played 17 seasons), won 2 league titles and 4 Turkish cups.
