Turkish police foiled a bomb attack by the PKK terrorist group at the main bus terminal in Istanbul, after confiscating 6 packages of remotely and timer-activated explosives with a total weight of 5 kg. The attack was thwarted when two suspects escaped the police during a pandemic control; captured shortly thereafter, one of them was found to have left a bag containing the explosives under a vehicle. A third suspected member of the PKK was later arrested.
