Despite not being completed, the new hospital in Başakşehir, just outside Istanbul, was partially opened on Monday to increase the number of beds available for coronavirus patients. Once completed on May 20th, it will have 2,800 beds and will be the largest hospital complex in Europe by number of ICU beds, with 456 in total. Turkish president announced that by the end of the year 18 large hospitals will have been built in the main cities of the country.
