Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan held a historic meeting last night, in which he received at the Ankara presidential palace representatives of Jews living in Turkey and the Alliance of Rabbis in Islamic States: a meeting in which Erdoğan highlighted the historical ties of Turkey with Israel and its importance for peace and stability in the Middle East, and in which for the first time in history, a Jewish prayer of blessing was recited in the presidential palace.
