Grave with Ottoman soldiers killed 108 years ago found in Istanbul

A mass grave containing the skeletons of at least 30 Ottoman soldiers who died 108 years ago during the Balkan Wars has been found during excavations in Çatalca, just outside Istanbul. Along with the soldiers, who belonged to the 86th Ottoman Army regiment, several objects from the period have been found, and the names of 5 of them have been identified. On November 17th, 1912, 657 Ottoman soldiers were massacred in Çatalca when they were caught in the middle of the night by Bulgarian troops advancing towards Istanbul.
