The Istanbul team beat Medipol Başakşehir with a single goal from Uruguayan football player Diego Rossi.
Fenerbahçe managed to regain the leadership of the Turkish league after beating Medipol Başakşehir by the minimum on Saturday in the match played at the Ülker stadium in Istanbul.
The only goal of the entire match was the work of Uruguayan footballer Diego Rossi, who with 6 minutes left in the match, shot a ball with effect from the very edge of the area that entered tight to the crossbar passing over the Başakşehir goalkeeper, Volkan Babacan, powerless to stop an obviously beautiful goal.
In the rest of the week games, the current league champions, Trabzonspor, won at home by the minimum with an early goal from Slovakian midfielder Marek Hamsik, moving up to third place waiting for Beşiktaş, who plays this afternoon in Hatay. For its part, Galatasaray didn’t get victory after receiving Alanyaspor at home, who managed to overcome the Istanbul team 2-0 in a tense match in which Galata ended up playing with 9 due to the expulsion of Sacha Boey (min. 31 ) and Abdülkerim Bardakcı (min. 90+4).
With this victory, the Yellow Canaries have gone 7 weeks without defeat – their last game lost was on August 29 in Konya – and have managed to add a total of 23 points; thanks also to the tie achieved at home by the leader, Adana Demirspor, Fenerbahçe unseats the Adana team and rises again as leader of the Turkish league, a position that had lost precisely as a result of its defeat in August.
