Turkey, family cares of orphaned hedgehog calves

Family in Turkey cares for 7 orphaned hedgehog calves

The Süer family, who lives in the Diyarbakır province in southeastern Turkey, has 6 children and all of them have been raised in the love for animals, taking care of everything: from rabbits and cats to birds or goats. One day the father of the family found 7 new-born hedgehogs under a tree, and discovered that their mother had died in the road; the family immediately decided to adopt the little orphans, whom the children feed every day with the idea of releasing them into the wild once they grow up. “For me they are like my brothers, we will not let them die,” says one of the daughters.
