The extreme heat that is ravaging Turkey in recent days due to the arrival of a heat wave, causing temperatures up to 7 degrees above normal for a month of May, is even causing the asphalt of the roads to melt under the feet. In the next few days, thermometers are expected to reach 32ºC in Ankara, 33ºC in Istanbul and up to 36ºC in İzmir, which could register its highest temperature in the last 77 years.
